Ebase can
run on any J2EE application server that implements the J2EE 1.1 specification
or higher. Ebase does not require EJB support within the Application Server.

The minimum Java
level required by Ebase is 1.5.0; later versions can also be used. Please note that some application servers are shipped containing a
certain Java level and this cannot be changed. Also note that the Java version used for all Designer clients should be the same level as
the server.
The Ebase Designer is a Java client application that can run
on any system that supports Java.
