System Texts

System texts are used throughout the system for various purposes. System texts are maintained using the System Texts Editor Tools --> System Texts Editor. The Description column describes the purpose of each text. The text is changed by Text column; an expanded editor is available by double clicking on the Description column.

Access to the Shared Texts Editor is controlled with designer authorization DESIGNER_SYSTEM_TEXTS/ALL.

Changing System texts dynamically 

A system text can be changed dynamically using the FPL set text command; the change applies only to the form that issues the command.

e.g. to change the Please Select text inserted at the top of dropdown lists:

set text 21 = 'None';
